First year WIU student Diana Zavjalova (Latvia) & WIU Junior Marcelo Suartz (Brazil) will represent their countries in the The 46th annual edition of the prestigious QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup will be held from Oct. 15-24, 2010 in Toulon, France.

Both are returning to the World Cup having been a past semi-finalist in previous years.  In 2009, Zavjalova finished as a semi-finalist in Melaka, Malaysia eventually finishing 7th.  Suartz has also been a semi-finalist finishing 7th in 2007 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
One man and one woman earn their spot in national qualifiers.  

Each year, some of the best bowlers in the world compete, representing their country in one of the most prestigious amateur tournaments in the world.  It is one of the world's largest annual international sports championship in terms of number of participating nations.
