Babson Park, Fla. – The Webber International University tennis team placed 13 players on The Sun Conference 2010 Men's and Women's Tennis Academic All-Conference Team.

 

For the Warriors, the following student athletes were honored: Philippe Andermatt, senior from Switzerland; Tyler Heath, a freshman from Babson Park; Brad Hutzelman, a sophomore from Frostproof; Thiago Marion, a junior from Brazil; Kien Nguyen, a freshman from Vietnam; Heikki Riikonen, a sophomore from Finland; Juuso Tapanainen, a sophomore from Finland; Rafael Texiera, a junior from Brazil; Patricio Tilca, a senior from Argentina; and Marcel Schmitt a freshman from Germany.

 

For the Lady Warriors the following students were honored: Lauren Brink, a freshman from Germany; Anna Culaba, a junior from the Philippines; and Jeanette Hicks, a sophomore from Lake Wales.

 

“I'm very proud of all these student-athletes and pleased that they have been honored for their efforts on the academic side,” stated Coach Bill Heath. “We do stress academics first and tennis second and we do have a conversation every day regarding the importance of success in the classroom,” added Heath.
