Euless, TX - Thirty-two of the nation's top collegiate bowlers are in competition at AMF Euless Lanes, starting Monday to compete for national titles at the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Singles Championship.  Each qualified during the Sectional competition held throughout the country in March.

Webber International's own Jessica Santiago leads after Day 1 of qualifying finishing with 230 in Game 11 and her first perfect 300 game in the 12th and final game.  This is Jessica's first 300 game. After shooting 1113 for the first six games, Santiago made an adjustment in the second block warm-up, leading to a 223 improvement of 1336 and a total of 2449 to lead University of Nebraska Lincoln bowler Erin McCarthy by 47 pins.

Webber International's Stephanie Martin improved by 162 pins in the second block to finish 9th after Day 1.

The 300 was the third perfect game in program history.  Since the program started in August 2008, Larry Brande, Jessica Santiago and the men's team bowled a Baker 300 game at the 2009 National Championships.
