Babson Park, Fla. – The Webber International women's tennis team snapped their two match skid with a convincing 9-0 win over King's College (PA) in a Wednesday morning match on the WIU Campus Courts.
Winning in doubles for WIU were: #1 Lauren Brink and Kammie Bilardello, 8-3; #2 Anna Culaba and Zulema Robles, 8-3; and Jeanette Hicks and Helen Perry, 8-0.
Singles winners and scores were: #1 Brink, 6-1, 6-0; #2 Billardello, 6-3, 7-5; #3 Culaba, 6-0, 6-0; #4 Hicks, 6-0, 6-2; #5 Perry, 6-1, 6-1; and #6 Robles, 6-0, 6-0.
The Lady Warriors record is now 6-5.
“We needed a match like this and I am very happy with what our young ladies are getting accomplished this season,” stated Coach
