Webber Men’s Tennis Tops King’s

Babson Park, Fla. – The men's tennis team at Webber International beat King's College (PA) 8-1 in a match played on the WIU Campus Courts, in Babson Park, on Wednesday.
 
It was the 6th consecutive win for the Warriors, improving their record to 8-3 overall.
 
Sweeping the doubles for the Warriors were: #1 Philippe Andermatt and Jusso Tapaneinen, 8-2; #2 Thiago Marion and Joonas Jalkenen, 8-1; and #3 Pedro De Angei and Reyne Hospedales, 8-3.
 
Webber won 5 of the 6 singles matches. The winners were: #1 Juuso Tapaneinen, 6-0, 6-1; #3 Pedro DeAngei, 6-2, 6-2; #4 Reyne Hospedales, 6-1, 6-2;; #5 Brad Hutzelman, 6-1, 2-6, 11-9; #6 Kien Nguyen 2-6, 6-1, 10-4.
 
“I am elated with the match win as we had the opportunity to play some kids that do not get a lot of playing time, and they responded like true Warriors and did a great job,” stated Coach Bill Heath.
