Women Bowlers Lead Qualifying, 2nd at McKendree Baker Challenge
Lose to 2007 NCAA Champion Vanderbilt in Final

St. Louis - The Women Warrior bowlers continued a successful first-year season with a 2nd place finish at the McKendree Baker Challenge.  WIU leads qualifying, loses to 2007 NCAA National Champion Vanderbilt in the final.

In the quarter-finals, # 1 seed WIU defeated # 8 seed Newman 184-183, 200-188.  Next they faced the 2009 National Championship Final runner-up and # 4 seed Lindenwood.  Webber won in two straight games, 212-201, 202-179.

In a fitting final, # 1 seed Webber International faced # 2 seed and 2007 NCAA National Champion Vanderbilt.  Vanderbilt won in two straight high-scoring games, 268 - 213, 275 - 256.
