Geidi Named Sun Conference Player of the Week

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Junior Geidi averaged 19.7 points, three assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game to earn The Sun Conference Player of the Week honors on Jan. 25.Geidi led the Warriors to three wins, two of which were against conference opponents, en route to his first weekly honor.
WIU’s first game of the week was a 76-60 win over Edward Waters and featured a 20-point, five-assist performance from Geidi who was 5-of-12 from the field, 4-of-8 from beyond the arc and 6-of-7 from the free throw line.
Three days later, Geidi put up 19 points in a 70-65 win over Johnson & Wales going 7-of-8 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from long range. He closed out the week with 20 points, two rebounds, two assists and four steals in a 90-63 victory over Florida College.
