BABSON PARK, Fla.- The Warriors were handed their third loss in a row after a 52-68 loss to Florida Memorial in the final game of a sport-packed Saturday for the Warriors, after a full slate of baseball, softball, women's and men's basketball games beginning at noon and ending at 8:30p.m.

The Warriors (5-21, 0-9 FSC) were led by Ishmael Firova, who recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Leading the way for the Lions (9-12, 6-4 FSC) was Daniel Garcia, who shot 6/8 from beyond the arc and finished with 24 points. He was closely followed by Tremaine Stevens, who shot 8/11, a perfect 3/3 from range to finish with 22. Andre Beauford also made it to double-digits with 11.

The hosts were unable to muster an offensive push, shooting below 50% on the night in each statistical category. They finished with 44% field-goal shooting; 36% from behind the arc and 40% from long-distance. Making 11 of their 16 three-point attempts saw the Lions finish with 68%, which contributed to their comfortable win. The Warrior bench were easily better on the night, outscoring their visitors' subs by a 44-5 margin.

The Warriors, still searching for that elusive conference win, gifted their guests with 18 shots from the line - 11 of which were graciously taken - while they only made 10 trips to the charity stripe and took advanatage of four of those shots.

The Warriors started the game eight-in-the-hole as the Lions raced to an early lead. Schrieber broke the drought with a 3-pointer with 18:10 left on the clock.  Back-to-back three's by Beauford and Stevens gave the Lions their first double-digit lead of the game at 19-9. The hosts clawed their way back, and took the lead - their only one of the game - when Ryan Norris made a layup to make it 28-27 in favor of the Warriors. This was short-lived, however, as the Lions closed the half with a 12-4 run to leave the court with a nine-point lead at 39-30.

The second period did not play out much differently, as the guest defense limited the Warriors to shots outside the paint. Chesmon Evans scored the first points of the half for the team with six minutes gone.

The Warriors were unable to pose any threat to their conference rivals, who saw their lead rise to as many as 19.

The Warriors will try again for their first FSC win when they host second-from-bottom SCAD on Monday February 12th, at 7p.m. Florida Memorial play on the same day, at the same time against Warner Southern College in Lake Wales.
